Driveway Cleaning Devon

We seem to receive more requests for driveway cleaning and sealing than ever before as homeowners try to keep the fronts of their properties looking clean and presentable. Although most of these enquiries are for block paving cleaning and sealing, we also refurbish imprinted concrete and tarmac driveways. 

Although we are located in Plymouth we can clean and seal block paving all over south Devon and Cornwall.  Areas covered include Torquay, Bideford, Okehampton, Saltash, Looe, Liskeard, Launceston, Brixham, Dawlish, Devonport, Exeter, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Polperro, Dartmouth, Totnes, Tavistock, Kingsbridge, Teignmouth, Tiverton and Torbay.

Most types of block paving are very porous and this makes them very vulnerable to 'attack' by surface growth such as moss, weeds, lichen and algae. North facing shaded driveways in particular seem to have it worst of all.

Cleaning and sealing the driveway is usually done over a two day period. First we will pressure clean the driveway with our powerful flat headed rotary cleaner to clean off any grime and surface growth. The entire area will then be cleaned with a high pressure lance to ensure all the joints of the block paving are completely free of mud and dirt.

The stages for driveway cleaning and sealing:-

• The block paving is pre-treated with fungicidal wash and/or weed killer
• Any oil or grease stains are treated and cleaned off
• The block paved area is cleaned with a powerful pressure washer
• The joints of the block paving are re-sanded
• Blocky paving sealers are then applied to protect the paving.
